What is Onboarding?

Onboarding is getting newly hired talent up to speed with the culture, performance expectations, policies and procedures of the university and department.  Onboarding activities can include taking the time to introduce new employees to people in their department, assisting with voicemail and email set-up and making sure the employee attends important meetings and orientations.  Effectively onboarding new talent to the culture of Georgia State is beneficial to the employee and organization.
